AI Focus Intensifies as AlphaTON Rebrands Computing Division

In a strategic maneuver, AlphaTON Capital has undergone a significant transformation, emerging as Alpha Compute Corp. with its common shares now listed on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol ALP. This rechristening marks a deliberate shift in the company's public persona, emphasizing its focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) GPU-as-a-service and confidential compute infrastructure. The renaming is a direct response to the escalating demand for scalable AI infrastructure that prioritizes data privacy.

As Alpha Compute Corp., the company is building on a strategy that has been in development for several months. A January SEC filing revealed that AlphaTON had secured $44 million in net capital, commenced revenue generation from its confidential compute infrastructure, and successfully deployed GPU capacity in conjunction with Telegram's Cocoon AI launch. Additionally, the filing highlighted the company's plans to expand its infrastructure, leveraging Nvidia's B200 and B300 systems.

The rebranding comes at a time when Alpha Compute Corp. is already engaged in several key partnerships. Notably, the company's existing commitments remain intact, including a $43 million collaboration with Vertical Data for AI infrastructure and financing, its support for Telegram's Cocoon AI, and the acquisition of GAMEE. The latter, a gaming platform boasting 119 million registered users, is a strategic move to broaden the company's reach within the Telegram ecosystem, as announced by Animoca Brands in March.

However, the rebranding also occurs amidst challenges, particularly with regards to the company's Nasdaq listing. A March 2 filing disclosed that AlphaTON had received a deficiency notice due to its shares trading below $1 for 30 consecutive business days. The company has until August 31, 2026, to regain compliance. In this context, the transition to Alpha Compute Corp. appears to be a calculated effort to reposition the company's market identity, pivoting from its previous focus on Telegram-linked investments to a more specialized emphasis on AI infrastructure.
