For the current quarter, management projected revenue growth in the “high-twenties” percentage territory compared to the same period last year. Gross profit dollars are anticipated to expand at a mid-twenties percentage rate. Operating expenses are projected to represent 35–36% of revenue, incorporating approximately $145 million in stock-based compensation. While the forward guidance appears reasonable, it arrived alongside disappointing profitability metrics that rattled investors. The adjusted EPS of 36 cents exceeded expectations, but the reported net loss of 45 cents per share—amplified by investment write-downs—eclipsed the positive revenue story.
