Experts Forecast Massive Surge, Predicting Bitcoin's Worth to Skyrocket to Nearly $400 Billion Within the Next Decade

In the realm of cryptocurrency, a compelling narrative is unfolding around Strategy's substantial Bitcoin holdings, which are garnering significant attention from market analysts. As the world's premier digital currency trades at notably low valuations compared to its historical four-year moving average, pundits are revisiting a price projection model that suggests a staggering median value of $388 billion by 2030 for Strategy's 843,738 BTC stash.

Notably, this projection is grounded in Bitcoin's own historical price fluctuations, eschewing the need for extraordinary market conditions to reach this figure. A striking observation is that Bitcoin's four-year moving average has consistently avoided year-over-year negative readings across an impressive 3,964 measurable days. Furthermore, the cryptocurrency has traded above its four-year moving average a remarkable 93.3% of the time, boasting a median multiple of 1.87x. Presently, Bitcoin is trading at 1.26x its four-year moving average, positioning it at the 33rd percentile of all historical valuations, making it cheaper than it has been roughly two-thirds of the time.

Analyst Adam Livingston recently outlined this model on the social media platform X, emphasizing that the underlying math does not necessitate Bitcoin to exhibit extraordinary performance. Instead, the projection applies a steadily decelerating growth rate to the four-year moving average through 2030. According to Livingston, the implications are profound, with Strategy's valuation potentially reaching trillions, thereby catapulting $MSTR shareholders to unprecedented wealth.

A key aspect of this model is its conservative growth assumptions, which commence with a 44.5% year-over-year compound annual growth rate in 2026, gradually decreasing by five percentage points annually to 24.5% by 2030. Even under this modest scenario, the four-year moving average is projected to reach $245,542 by the end of 2030. Applying the median historical multiple of 1.87x to this figure yields a projected Bitcoin price of $459,578, a testament to the cryptocurrency's historical statistical trends rather than a bullish forecast.

The median case alone suggests a stack value of $388 billion for Strategy, while the mean historical multiple of 2.32x would push the projected price even higher. Conversely, the floor case, which assumes Bitcoin trades exactly at its four-year moving average with no premium, still values Strategy's holdings at a substantial $207 billion, exceeding three times the company's current Bitcoin stack value of approximately $64 billion.

Strategy's total enterprise value, encompassing all preferred shares, debt, and its software business, currently stands at $77.7 billion. Under the median projection, the Bitcoin stack alone would be worth a staggering five times this figure, highlighting a vast disparity between the company's current market capitalization and its forward Bitcoin stack value. Livingston aptly describes this gap as the most asymmetric public-market trade available to retail investors today.

It is essential to note that the model assumes Strategy does not acquire additional Bitcoin beyond its current holdings. However, the company has consistently purchased more Bitcoin, having announced a $21 billion at-the-market common stock offering in 2025 and increased its BTC Yield target for the year to 25%. Any further accumulation would only exacerbate the gap between the current market capitalization and projected stack value, with the median case projecting a 6.1x increase from today's stack value and a 6.9x return relative to Strategy's current market capitalization. These figures are solely predicated on Bitcoin continuing to behave in accordance with its historical trends relative to its four-year moving average, without reliance on macro conditions, institutional adoption, or new capital inflows.
