US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that approximately $1 billion worth of Iranian crypto assets have been seized.

According to Bloomberg, Bessent stated that US authorities seized approximately $1 billion worth of digital assets as part of sanctions and inspection activities targeting Iranian-linked crypto assets. Bessent did not provide details on which cryptocurrencies were involved in the seizure or when the confiscation took place.
