Fireblocks Partners with Sui to Introduce Fee-Free Transactions for Stablecoins

Sui launched gasless stablecoin transfers on its mainnet on 20 May 2026. The feature operates at the protocol level through Address Balances, a new account system rolling out to Sui validators. Users and businesses can send supported stablecoins without holding SUI tokens to pay gas fees. Sui deployed the feature as a permanent infrastructure capability rather than a temporary subsidy. The design targets global payment workflows where managing a separate gas token adds friction.
