Bybit adds tokenized bond funds from PIMCO, CMBI

2 min read

Bybit has rolled out its RWA Earn platform, granting eligible users the ability to invest in tokenized bond funds managed by PIMCO and China Merchants Bank International.

Tokenized Bond Funds Overview

The launch introduces two on‑chain products: the PIMCO Dynamic Income Opportunities Fund (PDO), which allocates capital across corporate debt, mortgage‑backed securities and sovereign bonds, and the CMBI Investment Grade Bond Fund, which targets high‑quality credit in Asian and global markets. Both funds are offered in a tokenized format, allowing crypto investors to gain exposure to traditional fixed‑income assets without leaving the blockchain ecosystem.

Infrastructure and Partner Networks

Tokenization is executed through DigiFT, a regulated digital‑asset exchange operating in Singapore and Hong Kong, while Plume supplies the on‑chain infrastructure that handles subscriptions and fund distribution. According to RWA.xyz, Plume supports more than 210 tokenized assets, serves over 250,000 RWA holders, and moved in excess of $512 million in RWA transfers during the last 30‑day period.

Market Impact and Investor Terms

Bybit permits participants to subscribe using USDC and waives subscription, redemption, and on‑chain transaction fees, though the products carry no principal protection and returns are not guaranteed. The broader tokenized asset sector continues to expand, with RWA.xyz estimating a market valuation of $31.8 billion, reflecting growing interest from both traditional finance and crypto investors.
