BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ticker ETHA_KZ) and Volatility Shares’ Solana ETF (ticker SOLZ_KZ) were officially listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on 19 June 2026.
Regulatory Approval and Admission Process
KASE placed the two crypto‑exchange‑traded funds under the newly created KASE Global sector, which operates within a special sandbox coordinated with Kazakhstan’s Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market. Investment Company Standard JSC filed the admission request, and KASE granted the listing after confirming compliance with sandbox requirements. The approval marks a milestone for the crypto market in Kazakhstan, expanding access for qualified investors.
Fund Mechanics and Fees
The iShares Ethereum Trust directly holds ether and mirrors its spot price, while the Solana ETF relies on CME‑listed futures contracts and cash equivalents to replicate Solana’s price movements. KASE explained that the futures‑based structure enabled the Solana listing because the token’s volatility exceeds that of Bitcoin. Management fees differ sharply: the Ethereum Trust charges 0.25 % annually, whereas the Solana ETF levies 0.95 % per year, and the latter reported $80.23 million in assets under management as of 18 June 2026. Both products are available only to qualified investors through authorized brokers that maintain KASE membership.
