Recent research by Glassnode has highlighted the vulnerability of a portion of the Bitcoin supply to quantum attacks, with approximately 9.6% classified as "quantum-exposed." This has intensified demand for cryptocurrencies designed with quantum resistance in mind, such as Zcash and QRL. This divergence is attributed to a fundamental reassessment of Zcash's value, driven in part by the adoption of its zero-knowledge proof technology in major Ethereum layer-2 networks. As a result, Zcash's market capitalization has reached $11 billion, a level last seen in November 2025, with its price surging to a new year-to-date high of $686.

QRL's substantial gain of 25% reflects a distinct aspect of the quantum resistance narrative. As a token specifically designed to withstand quantum attacks using lattice-based cryptography, QRL is attracting investors seeking to position themselves in infrastructure that can survive the transition to a post-quantum environment.
