Zonda CEO reveals $334M Bitcoin wallet, no access

Zonda crypto exchange CEO Przemysław Kral published a cold wallet address on 15 April 2026. A cold wallet is a cryptocurrency storage device not connected to the internet. The wallet holds 4,503 bitcoin (BTC) — a digital currency — worth approximately $334 million. Kral made the disclosure to counter claims that exchange funds had been misused.

Founder disappeared with private key in 2022Zonda cannot access the 4,503 BTC in that wallet. The private key — a secret code required to move funds from a crypto wallet — was supposed to be handed over by founder and former CEO Sylwester Suszek. Suszek sold the exchange to its current owners, including the wallet as part of the assets. He has been missing since 2022 and never transferred the key. The wallet balance was verified by an external auditor, according to Kral.
Client funds used for loans, filings showBB Trade Estonia OÜ — the legal entity operating Zonda — extended loans totalling close to €89.5 million using customer funds, according to the company's audited 2024 financial statements. Of that amount, €31 million remained outstanding as of July 2025. Some loans were issued without collateral. Zonda's public terms and conditions state that customer funds are not used for the company's own account. The filed financials directly contradict that statement.
